The story behind this picture is actually very cool.
This couple got married in Provence, in the south of France, in an amazing castle. But we decided to organize a session during sunset, on the beach near the groom parent's house. It was an amazing evening, with lots of sun, but this shot was taken just after sunset, while the sky still had amazing colors. The whole session was shot with an analog camera.

This image was taken whilst the bride was getting ready, which is one of my absolute favourite parts of the wedding day to capture. There are so many emotions and small stories happening, this was a beautiful moment when Lilian was surrounded by her six stunning bridemaids, natural light and alot of love!

It was after shooting a wedding in Maui, Hawaii. I decided to go to the beach to take some photos of the stars for my clients who were visiting from Canada. I thought they would come out to stargaze at some point, so I wanted to include a night-sky photo on the beach for their memories.
When I arrived at the beach, I found a perfect spot. Good composition. However, there was a couple sitting in the middle of the frame already. They were cuddling, enjoying the view. At first I thought I would move to another location for my photo. Then I thought it would be nice to take a photo for them on this clear night with an almost new moon for their memories.
The beach couple told me later that they decided to go out to see the stars just before taking the shuttle back to the airport. It was their first trip without their kids in 10 years. The wife was happy how the photo turned out, and told me that she would print it on canvas for her husband as a Christmas present. Her email made my day, and I was glad that I talked to them that beautiful night.

It had always been a dream for this bride to take photos in her wedding dress with cows! She has loved cows since she was a little girl, and told us that it would literally be magic if we could go into a field to make her dreams come true on her wedding day! That was all she had to say... after their ceremony, we walked right into that pasture and was able to create the perfect shot to treasure forever!

One of the first details that I knew about Angie was the importance to her family. At the time of this photograph I asked the girls to remember their good and bad moments like sisters. They could not stop laughing and telling their stories.
It was a great time that allowed me to capture the essence of their relationship as sisters.

Tara & Higor's wedding was on the sand of there local beach. The weather was meant to turn bad that day as it had been raining all week. With gloomy clouds over head in the morning. The day wasn't looking to good.
Fortunately as the minutes wound down to the ceremony the weather improved. This shot was captured on the rocks of the seashore as the last light was was dropping behind the mountains.

This photo was taken at The Figge Art Museum in Davenport, Iowa. Morgan and Nick wanted a creative way to announce their engagement. The museum offers many wonderful modern aspects and perspectives including the glass walls that mirrored the beautiful blue sky during that evening in the fall. I thought it was a great way to symbolize their journey as a couple, these two have been together for over 10 years and they made it to the top. Final destination, happily ever after.

Lesley and Nathan were married at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (instagram - @kickinghorsemtn) in Golden, BC. They are both ultra distance marathon runners and born adventurers, so snowboarding in their wedding finery was a perfect fit for them. I am always up for a challenge as a photographer, so skiing backwards while shooting like a mad man is actually perversely fun for me. When Nathan reached up to adjust his tux, I knew that all of the elements for a fun shot had come together.

The clouds darkened as the ceremony time approached. We all huddled on a platform in the middle of the gorgeous meadow that sits near the prominent Mount Evans at Deer Creek Valley Ranch in Colorado. As soon as the ceremony time arrived & it began pouring on us. Finally, 30 minutes later the sky let up and these two finally got to say their vows! If either Brandon or Bailey were anxious, all that went away as soon as they saw one another. The rain made the field glisten in lush greens.
