Cape Town (South Africa)

I'm based between Cape Town, South Africa and Zanzibar, Tanzania. I like to experiment with different and interesting ways of capturing wedding photos and use an underwater housing as well as a drone to add different perspectives to my wedding images.

I did a similar photo to this some time ago and have always wanted the opportunity to make it better. I finally got that opportunity about a year later and had the chance to go back to the same location and improve on the shot!

These two were such fun! They eloped to Zanzibar island with their daughter and a few friends. Once the ceremony was over, it didn't take them long to run into the sea, designer dress and all!

I had a great day with this gorgeous couple. They eloped to Zanzibar at a small private boutique hotel. After a beautifully romantic ceremony we did a couple shoot around the hotel grounds ending with them wanting to jump into the infinity pool! I love shooting couples who will do anything for awesome shots!

I took this on a jetty on the south coast of Zanzibar island. The light played along and I managed to get this cool shot with my drone!

When this couple told me they were going to have their wedding ceremony on a traditional dhow boat whilst sailing out at sea my first thought was that it was going to be seriously difficult to photograph! The small space and ropes everywhere. The ceremony was in the front of the boat and was quite tricky to shoot, but afterwards I got them to go upstairs onto the roof and got this shot. For me it was the shot of the wedding and something very different and unique for them.

Youri and Karen had an intimate elopement on Zanzibar's north east coast. Just the two of them. They said they were nervous in front of the camera before we started shooting, but they had such great chemistry that everything just flowed beautifully. Barefoot and in love on the beach...

I am privileged to have had the opportunity to capture this beautiful elopement on a private sandbank in the middle of the Indian ocean off the coast of Zanzibar! After a 30 minute boat trip out to sea on a traditional dhow boat we got to this immaculate white sand island which after the ceremony and some photos was reclaimed by the high tide! What a magical place for a wedding! Congratulations Tom and Yvonne!

This couple got married on a secluded beach on Zanzibar with no one but their closes friends and family. The bride arrived by ox drawn cart while everyone else had the long walk down to the secret spot. After a beautiful ceremony this sandbank emerged out of the sea and I was able to get this shot of them having their first moments alone as they walked down the paradise sandbank.

Shooting traditional Indian weddings is always incredible, the wide array of vibrant colour and fantastic dancing make for some great photo opportunities! I used off camera flashes here to freeze the partiers while using a slow shutter speed to pick the natural light blurring colors and lights!

I got to go up to shoot this awesome elopement wedding in the middle of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Unfortunately, as the ceremony ended it started to rain so we didn't have much time to do a couple shoot before everything was ruined. I managed to get the bride and groom and all the maasai askaris (security) ,who were there to watch for wild animals, to get up on the hill before they were completely drenched. A really quick shot, but lots of fun!

I was lucky to get this shot at a wedding in Zanzibar after having very little light left at the end of the ceremony. The couple didn't want any shots on the beach which meant having to be a bit more creative, but also made things easier as we focussed the couple shoot around the jetty where the ceremony had been while all the guests were having cocktails. I got the couple to lie down the jetty while I quickly got my drone in the air and tried to hover above them in the wind!

Vanessa and Nick flew me out to the Serengeti national park in northern Tanzania to shoot their elopement. It was an incredible private affair, staying at the Four Seasons hotel and getting married in the middle of the wild with two friends and a mas...
