For this modern orthodox Jewish wedding in Brooklyn, New York, I staked out a high position above the curtain, so that I could pivot to photograph the action on both the women's and men's sides. That positioning proved ideal during the hora when to my surprise, the chairs of the bride and groom were brought together, and they embraced over the top of the curtain. The pure joy on the couples' and guests' faces expressed the beautiful energy and love in the room.
