Tamara and Rob had a small wedding at the San Francisco City Hall, and wanted something different than the average staircase photo so many photographers do. I placed them each in their own column of window light and had my friend Danielle (the primary photographer) lift Tamara's dress to give it some movement, while Rob was in the foreground ahead of his bride. The final result makes you look twice, maybe even three times. I love this photograph in black and white because of the soft fall off the window light naturally provides.

Laura and Will love the Golden Gate Bridge, so this photograph is really special to them. We were loosing light fast, so I placed light and an orange gel behind them and ran back about 200 feet to include them and the bridge. I used an 85mm lens in order to capture the depth of the traffic on the bridge (a wide angle lens wouldn't be able to capture this).

Nicole and Aaron's engagement session was taken on the coastal beach called Blind Beach near Jenner, CA. Just north of San Francisco, this landscape reminds me of Ireland due to its windy and misty weather patterns. I placed an off camera flash and orange gel behind the couple to make them really pop. This is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. I highlights Laura and Will's passion for the Golden Gate Bridge as well as the WW2 bunkers overlooking the Bay Area. I used an iPhone under the lens to creative a reflection. Shot with a Sony A9ii + 35mm.

Katy and Kevin's engagement session was shot in a park where Katy grew up playing in. I saw an opportunity for a silhouette on top of the stair case, so I told them to embrace each other at the top. Shot on a Sony A9ii + 35mm.

Stacey and Traci absolutely love silhouettes and sunsets. It was quite windy and the grass was waving like crazy, so I lowered my camera and dropped my shutter speed to 1/8th of a second to captured this.

The visitor center for the Sutro Baths in San Francisco offers unique sharp lines and windows. I found inspiration from Victor Lax's work.

The couple is really into paddle boarding, so I made sure to include their passion in their engagement session. This was taken in Sausalito, CA. Shot with a Sony A9ii + 35mm.

Ashley and Mathieu have a 15 inch height difference, and I wanted to show that difference in an artistic way. Their venue had beautiful trees around the ceremony site, so I used my phone to create a reflection of those tress and placed Ashley and Mathieu in the perfect window of branches.

This is always a fun shot! Tucker and his crew are amazing, and I wanted to showcase the wedding vibes on the day through a reflection of his glasses. Laughs all around for this group.
