This day was different from all other days. Heaven seemed to be pouring out from the sky as if to flood the ground beneathe me. I was so taken by the way it wrapped itself around and through this gorgeous tree. When Ivanka stepped into my camera frame, my heart skipped a beat. If light could speak, it would have sang ,"hallelujah! "

This bride's flowing dress inspired me to develop a series of photos I call the 'Spin Collection'. This photo was taken just after the ceremony. After a number of tries , I found that having the bride face away, allowed her to focus on the movement of her dress, without worrying about expression. This allowed her to truly enjoy her wedding dress in an almost private way, while communicating her experience with beautiful body language to the camera.

Understandably, so many outdoor wedding photos from California focus either on mountain or ocean scenes. The foothills of the Sierra Nevada are a perfect place for idyllic scenes of oaks, rolling hills and stunning sunsets. In this photo, I tried to make the couple a part of their environment by placing them as a tree in on the rolling hills.

If photographing large bridal parties can be unwieldy, I wanted this bridesmaid's portrait to come off as a spontaneous, engaging, album cover -- with the playful energy directed toward the bride.

Brandon and Amanda LOVE to go dancing together. Their love actually blossomed out on the dance floor. This was an awesome moment as they danced on the cliffside, they hit one of their favorite moves just as the waves crashed against gorgeous cliffside. This aerial shot was captured on Oahu's gorgeous east side.
