There is an old, historic hotel in San Antonio, TX that is truly something to see. While wandering around I came upon this amazing library and instantly knew that this was where the "first look" needed to take place. The groom anxiously awaited as his soon to be bride entered the room and heard her ascending the stairs behind him. The entire scene was magical.

She jumped into his arms so naturally! I was thinking about moving them somewhere to be more backlit, but then this happened. How perfectly and organically this happened and the light and shadow here came together just enough..I just fell in love with it, the reality, the love, and the mood, and the instinctive way of the two of them together.
Every wedding has it's own unique story. You never know when the special, unscripted moments will present themselves. Sometimes, I like to walk away from the dance floor to where other guests are gathering with the bride and groom -- and capture their spontaneous energy in a relaxed way.
Venue: American Yacht Club - Rye, New York.
I am privileged to have had the opportunity to capture this beautiful elopement on a private sandbank in the middle of the Indian ocean off the coast of Zanzibar! After a 30 minute boat trip out to sea on a traditional dhow boat we got to this immaculate white sand island which after the ceremony and some photos was reclaimed by the high tide! What a magical place for a wedding! Congratulations Tom and Yvonne!
This photograph was taken as part of a destination bridal shoot I did in Slovenia on Lake Bled.
The only way to Bled Island is via boat and as we sailed across the water I set this shot up, I really love the intimate pose and how it blends perfectly into its surroundings. This shoot has previously won awards in Wedaward 13 and 14.
Equipment: Nikon D7200 and Nikon 10-24mm f3.5/4.5 lens
This photograph was taken during an engagement session I shot at the Isle of Purbeck and the idyllic village of Studland, best known for its National Trust beach, nature reserve and views of the white chalked Old Harry Rocks. The Jurassic Coast is an UNESCO World Heritage Site with 185 million years of history, including dinosaur discoveries.
As well as Old Harry Rocks, we shot in and around Bournemouth during the shoot with this being one of my favourites...
