It was really hot, crowded, and security on ours butt's, but I was able to make my couples stand on these beautiful monuments in India, to capture the images. Lighting was just perfect and once I clicked the shutter, I just knew this image is going to be beautiful. photo was taken in India, with the new Fuji X-pro 2.

As Rachel and John are having a tough time deciding on their wedding colors, we came up with this colorful idea for the engagement shoot. John, an eagle scout, would love to have a Top Gun themed wedding - his favorite color is blue. Rachel, whose favorite color is orange, believes they should use fall colors like dark red and light orange. They love cute, goofy images that show their loving relationship. This "love shoot" was done in the Peter Togel Photography studio using non-toxic acrylic paints. The fun started with Rachel gently and carefully dripping small streams down John's face. When it was John's turn to paint, he squeezed as hard as he could and soon Rachel was drenched in color! The pair had so much fun splashing, dancing and crashing into each other! An attempted chest bump ended with the self-proclaimed clumsy Rachel being caught by John just before crashing to the floor. They giggled uncontrollably! The session ended with a passionate embrace and colorful kiss... we think they have probably forgotten all about their wedding day color wars! After the session the two were able to clean up in our large studio walk-in shower. They ended the night with dinner out and smiles on their faces.

This image is special to me because the couple that are featured are not only my clients but my closest and dearest friends. We all moved out to LA together from NY about 8 years ago, all with passions and dreams. It is amazing to watch all of us set goals and accomplish what we moved out here to do. Mine was to become a great wedding photographer, like my father. I can say that I am moving in the right direction. For Chris and Jenn to be featured in this shot makes everything come together. I remember I was shooting long exposures in downtown LA one night and the next day I showed Jenn one of the images (without people). She told me that when we shoot the engagement photos, she wants a picture just like that but with us standing in front. So thats what we did. It was a perfect night in LA, which it always is, and it was the last set of shots during their engagement session. Long exposures with people can be tricky but they were very still and the backdrop was flawless. My heart will always be in NY but I LOVE LA!

This photo was taken during a destination wedding in Las Vegas. It's easy to be distracted by all of the amazing photo opportunities while there. During a photo walk with the bride and groom, I noticed the cool colors and reflection on the floor in front of a restaurant. I simply asked them to stand in the center and got this cool shot in between patrons walking in and out.

This was taken in the stunning foyer of Chilston Park, Maidstone, UK. I saw this room had beautiful chandeliers and mirrors and I knew there was a shot somewhere to be had. Originally I wanted some rim Light on the couple and the chandelier above, until I noticed that placing the couple nearer to the mirror and placing the flash behind them would result in their reflection in the mirror.

The couple wanted their engagement session at a location I was not very familiar with. I checked it out a few days before and found this Torrey pine tree next to a giant rock that overlooked the ocean. I was fortunate that my clients didn't mind climbing at bit. It was worth it. They loved the photo.

While photographing Joelle and Noah’s late afternoon spring celebration, I kept my eye on the setting sun.
During a break in the dancing, I asked them for five minutes outside to capture the magical, Hudson Valley light. They were such a fun, relaxed couple and readily agreed. This archway was right off the front door, and all the elements seemed to come together - golden light, long shadows, iconic backdrop and a loving moment in silhouette. After taking a few shots, I realized the image would be more dramatic if I could show the turrets on top. So in my wedding attire, I laid flat on the ground to capture the more dramatic angle.

We were finishing up our engagement session and as we were walking back to our cars I turned around and saw this amazing sky. Instantly I knew I wanted to do something with the sky and background. The couple trusted me and were completely open with giving me a few more minutes even if it’s them hiding inside of a barn door.

Jacki and Brandon live in the house that’s been in the family for many years on a beautiful farm in southern Delaware. That day was extremely cloudy and windy so I knew I wanted this dramatic shot. The bride wanted a photo of them with her uncles antique truck and I wanted something more than a basic image. We quickly went outside for our night portrait and captured this email.
