Some of the best photos happen on a whim and 9 times out of 10 blow my socks off later once I import to my computer. This was one of those cases. I absolutely adore sunflowers and they have been within my branding for years so whenever I shoot within a sunflower field I always lose myself within the beauty of each flower.
I always try to think outside of the box for different things to do for each couples engagement sessions and for Josh & Kelsey, we had a picnic on the beach! One thing photographers absolutely love, is shooting during sunset. So, we went down to the beach set up shop and went away having a great time together. There was a huge section of seagulls grouped standing on the beach and as we went closer to the water they all flew away but then went and attacked our picnic! Although we lost all of our cheese, we ended up getting some killer photos too!
Oh my goodness, how do I even put into words on how much I love these two. The whole time during their engagement session they were laughing and flirting with each other. The whole gallery you can see how much love they have between each other and honestly wish I could marry them too! I cannot wait to see them get married next year and hang out with them again! These two were absolutely adorable!
When the original plan gets a wrench thrown into it and you have to improvise on the spot for a location for portraits, you let the artistic eye take over.
This little building is such a little iconic spot for photos and I even shot on these steps about 10 years ago when I was learning as a second shooter for weddings. I love when things go full circle!
The start of wedding season started with a bang with this couple & incredible venue for their ceremony. This Catholic Church is located in Lackawanna, New York and is one that I never would have thought I would have the opportunity to capture a wedding inside. I have driven past this church countless times but as soon as I stepped foot inside, my jaw dropped at its beauty in every single detail. For Sam & Hannah, they were so easygoing and down for every idea that popped in my head. Once they were about to do their final prayer of the ceremony, I brought out my iPhone and used the reflection to catch the beauty of the interior of the church. Secret tip: Get a Loopy case to easily maneuver to get the correct reflection angle.
