I have shot at Burloes Hall before so knew I wanted to do a night shot. Unfortunately the building is not lit so I had to light it myself by using two flashes to light the building and one to light the couple from behind.

Nikki & Sam exchanged their vows in this gorgeous Japanese Tea House so I knew I had to go back there and try and produce something a little special for them. I had to light the upstairs of the Tea House which proved difficult as its no longer used so I had to do a little bit of climbing to get up there.

Jaime & James at the stunning, Down Hall Country House Hotel in Essex. The storm started to role-in just before their Wedding Breakfast and we managed to get the shot before the heavens opened. Lit with a ProfotoB1 on a Nikon D4.

On this beautiful wedding day in Candle Lake Saskatchewan the sun was shining beautifully on a hill just as the sun was about to set! I had the bride and groom take their daughter up to the top of the hill to play with her and I knew as soon as I got this shot that it would be something special! This was a perfect moment on a perfect day!

The photo was taken in gorgeous Candle Lake Saskatchewan in an old forest with some remarkably unique and old trees! The bride and groom were both botanist's so this was the perfect environment for them to have their wedding photos! This was taken in a pocket of light just after a light rain fall, making the bride and groom look magical!

Brandi & Jon were such a fun couple to work with and I was lucky enough to accompany them to Mexico where they said their I Do's in a gorgeous off the beaten track location! This photo was taken after their wedding as they romanced and kissed in the ocean as the sun was setting!

A quiet corner alone with the bride and groom, soft lighting, and a touching moment were the perfect ingredients to create this heartwarming expression.

Rachel and Taylor celebrated their wedding day at the Hotel Monaco in DC, which boasts this incredible spiral staircase. We envisioned this beautiful photo when we stared down from the 4th floor balcony, but it required the couple to lie down on the ground (including newly styled wedding hair) in their wedding attire! This was one of the first photos they took after getting ready, and we were floored that they were so willing to take this risk! Nick photographed from the top and I posed and lit them on the lower level, so we had some logistical challenges to overcome as well. Thankfully we were able to capture the vision and we have no doubt that their fun spirits and openness will make a successful marriage.

My partner and I, along with my two daughters, had just bought a house and become a family. It turns out that my first shoot in our new city was an amazing couple who were also joining together to become a blended family, so the experience meant even more to me. I took a lot of fun, playful photos of them all as a group, but for these two alone, I really wanted to showcase the magnificent downtown of Pittsburgh, my new home. The whole series, and this photo in particular, turned out even better than I expected, and I am now incredibly honored to call this place home!

This park is Clumber Park….a National Park and Heritage centre. The park was very busy, however it still felt peaceful due the the sheer size and surroundings. Strolling through the park we all felt very small and insignificant against the awesome place. Every time I see a fallen tree like this I instantly want to use it to shoot against. Nature and love….perfect combinatiom!
