The setting for Emily and Matt's wedding was a mixture of the southwest desert landscape and a rustic, but elegant barn (where the reception was held). After the ceremony, we made our way out into the desert a bit. The sun was setting and I was able to capture that amazing flare, right at heart level, while framing them with the sharp edges of the desert and keeping a wonderfully shallow depth of field. This shot is an example of why I love it when brides wear veils. The highlights are shining through the sheer material and illuminating the details of the lace on her dress. It just added to the magic of the moment

Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto, Ontario is one of the most beautiful wedding venues. The manor itself is beautiful but they also have a stunningly magnificent garden as well. When I saw the garden from the manor, this image struck in my mind like a lightening bolt! The bride and groom, Rana and Robert, danced wonderfully and the bride literally glowed under the sun!

After Judy and Chris' beautiful ceremony at Trinity College Chapel at University of Toronto, we had the main quad all to ourselves. It was the perfect opportunity to create an image that reflected the fun and playful nature of the couple while showing off the beautiful architecture! The idea for this image came about by bring elements of the anime "Dragonball Z" and the arcade game "Street Fighter" together. However, without the energy and the flexibility of the bridal party (look at the groomsmen!), this image would not have been possible!

Nothing gets me more excited than curating a couples unique love story, especially when that story involves adventure. These two were born and raised in Hawaii and we wanted to celebrate their marriage by hiking into the active volcano from Kilauea and capturing their gorgeous bridal portraits. We left at 3:30am, so that we’d get there prior to sunrise. The hike was several miles in the pitch black, underneath a gorgeous meteor shower with only the light of headlamps. Walking across the lava field was absolutely terrifying, through the cracks beneath your feet you could see the molten lava beneath, and feel the heat radiating out. Randomly lava would burst through and flow before hardening over and turning black again. Talk about a rush!

This day started with a lot of rain, but later on it became a nice sunny day on this wedding. When the sun dissapears between the trees I took the weddingcouple outside for some pictures. En when they walk back to the wedding venue I took this picture.

Cynthia & Luke's wedding was right in the middle of heat wave. The weather was too hot to take portraits outside, so we had to really step up. Their wedding reception was at a Luxurious hotel, and our goal was to showcase that in a unique way

When this couple met in college, the bride was reluctant to pursue a relationship before leaving for a semester abroad.
Undeterred, he flew to visit her in Edinburg, and she fell in love with his 'amazing sense of humor’.
That part of of their chemistry seemed to shine through in their limo after their ceremony.
The special moment seemed even more poignant in black and white.

Amanda & Brian's wedding took place at the Jersey Shore. It was just before sunset and the colors were nice and warm. The couple love everything to do with the beach. I thought this location was a perfect place to make some portraits. It had nice light, an earthy feel, and the muted colors really made the tux and gown pop.

Oh! How we love destination weddings! Danny and Jess had a fairy tale romance and love story! His sister was a long-time friend of Jessica's and she just knew these two belonged together! From dancing to cruising, horseback riding to snorkeling - it was obvious this couple needed to marry nowhere else but in La Romana in the Dominican Republic! This silhouette dream shot on the pier at Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach just before sunset was executed on a Canon EOS 5D Mark III with a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens.

This is exactly what happens when you approach group shots by drinking three glasses of wine with the guests at dinner and telling them 'Do what you like, I don't care!
