I have been waiting for years to photograph a full wedding on top of Half Dome , in Yosemite National Park. The logistics, and sheer effort of two days backcountry travel with full gear, were formidable. After the ceremony, I posed the couple on the edge of the 5,000 ft face and captured this image , that I had envisioned all these years.
I made this photo on amazing wedding while I was shooting the getting ready. I saw her dress, I saw this hotel room and this wonderful natural light of three windows and said to the bride let us do what you see on this photo.
It was not really a spectacular lake there, but I wanted to get a reflection of them, so I decided to go on the other side and made this shot.
Audrey and Derrick were married in September 2016 at Oak Island, North Carolina. (United States) www.brycelafoonphotography.com
First of all I had to persuade this bridal pair to do this and that was not the best decision (for me), because I got that champagne all over my camera and myself, but wow I got an amazing photo and made them both really happy about that ;)
This shot was taken at Chippenham park. I noticed earlier in the day that the house had lights outside and therefore would be lit up. I was lucky to also get a dramatic sky which I think adds to the overall shot.
A quintessential English wedding held at a Somerset church and reception back at the Bride's family home. The British weather (rain) poured down all day, but we were lucky to have a brief period before sun down to capture a few portraits.
A dreamlike setting within which to capture this tender portrait! So glad for us as well as the couple to get this break in the weather.
These are the little moments that I love. So real, so pure and so sweet. I try to capture a wedding as real as possible. At this picture the groom helped his bride with her beautiful wedding dress, after which they made their entrance on this cruise ship. The combination of symmetry and catching this moment makes this picture so special to me.
This cruise ship (the SS Roterdam) is very popular with weddings in the Netherlands, my goal was to create a picture that was not created yet with this ship. On arrival I already saw this staircase, but how to make it even more special? With sunset so! I am very happy with the result.
It was a surprise proposal. The couple from Canada decided to spend their long weekend in Northern California, and the guy thought it would be a perfect opportunity to propose. He rented a Lamborghini, hired a photographer, and brought his girl to the Golden Gate Bridge. All I had to do was to secretly capture this beautiful moment.
Becca and Nic chose to have their wedding at the Russian River, California. I spotted this specific location a week before the wedding, when scouting the venue, and brought the newlyweds here right after the ceremony to make sure we capture the gorgeous late afternoon light. This shot was actually taken while the couple was posing for our drone pilot. So glad I continued to shoot and at some point realized I wanted to use my long lens to make the beautiful background appear closer. This let me show both the serenity of the couple and of the nature.
With a storm around the corner and the clouds rapidly moving in, we were able to capture the sun seeping through the clouds just before sunset!
