I have a crazy love for barns. I found this barn wedding venue online and drove three hours each way one day just to see it in person. It pulled at my heart strings so much that I convinced the owner to allow me to photograph an editorial bridal fashion shoot on property. It appeared in Southern Bride Magazine in 2017 and is still to this day one of my favorite editorial pieces ever.

I and couple went to Sunset shooting after the ceremony. Because Shun and Asuna were so spontaneous, they started to play around and lie down on the grass while I was scouting down the area. I simply asked her to tip his nose with her finger to add some more flavor. The sun perfectly glowed and lit her lovely hair, while the bokeh of background is as elegant as her smile!

Sondra and Missy’s love story has all the elements of a story book romance. Sondra is an Orlando DJ and radio personality on XL106.7 FM and hosts her own show on Pride Radio. Missy is a police officer, with a passion and love for her community and fellow officers. When I was asked to photograph their wedding I felt so honored. As I got to know the two of them better I knew their wedding portraits would be epic. They are not only both gorgeous, but they have the most amazing style and “squad” of friends I’ve ever had the pleasure of capturing. This moment was captured as they came down the aisle, just after saying,”I do” officially. I know they wanted that moments to happen for so long. The absolute joy on their faces was priceless. It was a moment that meant so much to them both, and I know sharing it with the people they love made it so much better. I am thankful I was able to share a tiny part of their day through the memories captured that day. They are amazing ladies!

This photo was taken at San Francisco City Hall, one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the USA. Unfortunately, almost the whole building was rented out for an event, so I had to improvise to find a nice location for wedding photos. Here I had the Groom hold a large monolight from camera left, while the Bride spun her dress , while I photographed her from across the building (@200mm). I had the instruct the Bride to pose into the light , since the distance and ambient noise in the building was such that we could not communicate. The most important advice I gave her was. " the most important thing is to have fun , not technique!"
