Wedding Photos a temple, located inside an epic cave in Thaialnd... with the light shining down from the cave's ceiling, this truly is one of the most incredible places on the planet. This beautiful moment was captured in the epic Phraya Nakhon Cave located about 45 minutes outside of Hua Hin, Thailand. Harry and Nancy traveled to Thailand to marry and knew they wanted to do something very special to honor their lifetime commitment to one another. So the morning before their wedding we made the 45 minute drive down to Bang Pu from Hua Hin. From Bang Pu you hike up the coast over half a mile of steep coastal area which includes hundreds of steps that wind along the beautiful coast. It's quite an adventure to reach this cave, but because of that we saw only a handful of people in the vicinity and only about 4 others at this epic location. When we got to the cave one of our part members looked up in awe at lots of little creatures (much debate on what they were) flittering around in the sunlight. Butterflies, Birds... I'm pretty sure they were faeries.. ;) In processing I emphasized the twinkles to make it accurate to the amazing moment we stood in awe with our mouthes wide open as we stared at this incredible temple... located within an amazing cave in gorgeous Thailand.
We traveled from Rio de Janeiro to Minas Gerais to photograph the Trash the Dress by Pollyana and the Yago. This photo was taken at dusk, with the couple positioned in a super romantic kiss with the bride's veil in the wind.
The chosen scenario was Serra da Moeda, a place that stands out for its beauty and favorable conditions for free flight.
The mountain range is approximately 1,500 meters high and has a natural ramp that attracts paragliding and hang gliding pilots from around the world.
Capturing the moment is what matters and this was that moment. Capturing the natural smile and expression, just strolling to the next shooting location turns into a picture that last for a lifetime.
Celia journeyed from rural China to study at Washington University in St. Louis. Doug arrived there from Manhattan. They fell in love in a study group.
When photographing their wedding at the Hudson Valley’s historic Sleepy Hollow Country Club, I felt that a dreamy setting for their first look would be on the grand staircase, backed by the soft light of the commanding Tiffany window.
When working in the city, you lose the grand vistas, the mountains, any real sense of isolation. What you do gain, especially in Boston, are the landmarks, and some unique wedding photography opportunities. This particular composition presented itself outside The New England Aquarium. Rescued harbor seals are on display, offering the opportunity to work with some unusual photo bombers. The couple, Marina and Yosef, went to law school in Boston but currently reside in LA. They snuck back for an engagement session in a city they love, ahead of their big day back out west.
The bride and groom stealing a kiss during their reception at their beautiful beach wedding in Zanzibar. Shot from a tripod with a slow shutter speed to catch the motion of all the guests.
Taken during the London wedding of Alison and Joseph, they held their wedding at Devonshire Terrace and this location is a couple of minutes away. I love all the verticals in this so I matched the scene against their pose something just timeless and elegant.
This photograph was taken at the end of October during the wedding of Jodie and Adam at High Rocks in Royal Tunbridge Wells. I'm always on the look for different angles to shoot from and this was one of the results. I'm really proud of this photo I love how the pose I created compliments the environment with the high ISO I could enhance the natural colours from the scene.
This photo is a worm's eye view of the ring exchange for Jafrin and Neil's civil ceremony. I included the officiant to tell a story.
The 2017 summer fires in Norther California had one benefit, gorgeous sunsets. This photo was taken at Land's End in San Francisco where some of the best sunsets can be seen, when the famous San Francisco fog clears. The extreme palette of orange cast, almost overwhelmed the raw image, and required delicate processing to make the image resemble what appeared to the eye in this beautiful moment.
When light shines through the large windows at San Francisco City Hall, standard camera settings result in a blown out highlights. Most photographers avoid these spots to get an even exposure. I find that embracing the light and posing the Bride into the light, results in dramatic effect . The lights add to the scene by framing the subject, The overall effect is an intriguing tension, of light to dark.
After hiking over half a mile of wild jagged coastline and hundreds of steep coastal steps to reach the epic Phraya Nakhon Cave in Thailand... Nancy and Harry embrace one another while the light cascades over them from above. The very next day they were married on the beach in Hua Hin! I traveled from Hawaii to curate their wedding and capture their amazing adventure wedding photos.. and this beautiful couple traveled all the way from San Francisco to make a lifelong commitment to one another in this most special place.
