This image was taken in the gardens of Hampton Court Palace on one of the hottest days of the year. You are surrounded by visitors and tourists while you wander the grounds with the bride and groom and I wanted to find a cool, quiet and calm spot for some photos. This covered area just grabbed me. I loved how the light streamed through like a tunnel and I knew it would be the perfect place for a striking silhouetted shot of the couple. They also managed to have a little quiet time to themselves during this time too

This shot was taken at the University of Melbourne in the Old Lae quadrangle. Jenna (the bride) studied at the University and absolutely loved this location for her Wedding Photography. Jenna and Daniel were married at the nearby Newman College.
We had shot a number of images at this location and were nearing the end of the shoot. The suggestion was made to try and do a bit of a run through the cloisters to give the images a bit of movement and fun. The great thing about the shot is that I really feel it captures their personality. They are both active people and were an absolute joy to shoot. Jenna’s Anna Campbell dress was ideal for this type of shot, not restrictive and free flowing. In fact, Jenna loved this dress so much she purchased it 18 months prior to the wedding. When I look at this shot I think it reflects the couple as being playful and fun loving. A great day.

This is one of my favourite images of all time and was taken in the middle of winter in a dry river bed in country Australia. Normally this river bed is barren and dusty but the winter rains made it uncharacteristically lush. The greenery and streaming light makes it look like a scene from a fairy tale forest and every girl wants to be in a fairy tale of her own (if even for a brief moment)
