Emily and Rob got married right on the ocean in beautiful Punta Cana. The ceremony was right in front of a charming little cafe where the reception was held. Down the beach was a rustic dock I thought would be perfect for a shot with the ocean and pirate ship in the background. This shot was a candid and I'm glad I caught this moment. It was magical.
This photo was taken on quite a gloomy, rainy day. Moments after their first look I stepped outside with the couple to do a mini shoot before shooting the entire wedding party. The sun popped out from behind the clouds just long enough to capture some great shots with very flattering lighting. The photos from this wedding proved that even weddings shot in less than ideal circumstances can still produce beautiful photos! It's all about your perspective.
Shooting in Italy is a dream with its world-class architecture and historical sites. There were old stone buildings with archways, engravings, and statues all over Venezia, and I selected this location for our night shoot, where I could use the lighting to accentuate this beautiful city and newlywed couple.
I have seen so many photos taken at this spot. It's a really popular place in Princeton for engagements and weddings, and I wanted to do something a little bit different
This image was captured as the groom serenaded his beautiful new wife with singing a love song with all of his heart! This was a great celebration! One that every bride could hope for!
Taken at Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire UK - the Duke of Bedford's home about 30 miles from London.
I was taken with the Cypress Tree in the foreground which I used to frame the couple with the historic house in the background.
Jennifer and Chris’s engagement session was not what you would call amazing but simply SPECTACULAR!! After having to reschedule their session twice, due to weather, this sure proved that “the third time’s the charm”. Jennifer and Chris not only had the perfect lighting but had an awesome location to match. They brought along their canoe to try and get a couple shots of them in it and they ended up being the best shots of the day. Possibly the best engagement shots EVER!!
I photographed this lovely bride and groom on the beautiful Crape Myrtle Allee at the Dallas Arboretum. This spot in the gardens is a very popular spot for photos and I have photographed this path many times. This time however, was the first time I was able to capture the color of the freshly fallen leaves and flowers alongside the gorgeous intertwining branches wrapping around the couple. The perfect couple, the perfect spot, the perfect time of year...can't ask for more!
This image was taken at the Brides parents camp ground. The campground has been passed down for 3 generations. The bride's grandmother and mother both got married there as well. The bride spent a lot of time wrapping Christmas lights around all the trees and lining the gravel path with candle lit lanterns. I only left it right to do something with all the lights. Shutter drag seemed like the right choice!
Beach wedding are a challenge for us because our style is moody and dramatic. This was shot at f1.4 using liveview to lock focus and an ND filter Which helps create all the foreground bokeh. It was about 3 pm when I shot this.
