By far one of my favorite weddings of the year Ben and Mandy were married in a small gathering with their nearest and dearest. This image describes the day in a nutshell, which was filled with family, friends, love and happiness. Their festival style wedding continued near by in a small Cornish seaside town… such a great day!
This photo was taken just outside the historic Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA. We snagged it at the end of our bridal portrait session while heading into the reception. I crossed the street in front of Emily & Chris and noticed how beautiful the light was, so I asked them to go back across the street so we could try it again in the middle of the road! Thankfully, they were totally willing, and after a few cars went by we were able to capture this moment. You'd never know there was a huge parking lot just to the left loaded with cars!
When Jennifer hired me to shoot her wedding and told me she wanted to have pictures with one of her horses, I immediately had a vision of them together against a wide-angle sky. She is one of the few people I've met that actually make a living with horses, particularly training them. I wanted to create something that I knew would have lasting meaning and tell her 'other' love story.
I am thrilled to win a WedAward! This image and couple are one of my all-time favorite destination weddings I've ever photographed. Mami and Brian stole away to the Secrets Maroma Beach Resort in the Mayan Riviera to get married and flew me down to capture their wedding. We stole away for their portraits and happened upon a quiet stretch of beach, adjacent to the resort. The sunlight peeked through the palm trees and we paused to catch some shots with the beautiful light. The sunlight, the palm tree, the sandy beach and the two lovers, captured forever! It is one of my favorites from their wedding day.
Prior to this photo, I asked the guests to work together to create an Epic grand finale photo for Brian and Jen! I love how everyone plays a role in this photo! Looking at this picture makes me feel like it's taking me back to that moment!
