During winter the orchards are bare and a few weeks in early spring they blossom and you get these beautiful rows and rows of pink and white flowers. I have many clients who fly to Western Australia for their pre-wedding photos. Nick & Charlize flew in from Singapore on short notice and they wanted images that were nothing like home. Her purple pastel dress and flower crown matched perfectly with the pink blossoms and this was the last image we took at their session.
I was asked if there were any white deserts in Australia for engagement photos but sadly all our deserts are dry red sand. We do have huge white sandy dunes near the coast so I brought Kevin & Monica out there for their shoot. Fortunately the thick clouds make the entire background muted which all serves to make Monica's red dress the first thing you see in this image. I also love the symmetry of the dune in this image.
This image was taken at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in California. The sun was setting quickly, and the moment presented itself, so we all made a quick dash to the nearest and largest tree for this wonderful shot. There is something so impressive about the size and appearance of these very old trees. They are overwhelming to be up against in person, and they provided an incredible backdrop for this particular image.
This image was taken at Arches National Park in Utah. We took a short climb to reach the area where this image was taken, and I particularly liked the rock formation that was behind the bride. It is called Balancing Rock, and is one of the most popular rock formations in the entire park. While much of the rock formation is not showing in the image, it is still a lovely angle, and the beautiful red rock is such a pretty contrast with the bride’s dress.
I adore this photograph it was taken during the wedding of Lisa and Rob at Gosfield Hall in Essex, I took the bride and groom into the wedding breakfast to see everything all set up and wanted to capture something really timeless for them both. Gosfield Hall is a beautiful wedding venue and the interiors of this room is breathtaking.
This photograph was taken on board the M/S Meraki a traditional Greek caique during their cocktail hour on the wedding day of Joanna and Mark. The wedding was held at the 5 star Blu Palace, a luxury resort and spa in Crete which was the perfect setting for shooting amazing imagery.
Taken during the wedding of Laura and Susanth and High Rocks in Kent. The magnificent High Rocks are steeped in history dating back millions of years.Acres of breathtaking sandstone rocks interlinked with bridges provide a scenic walk in a tranquil woodland setting. I wanted to capture a portrait showcasing the stunning landscape and use my couple to show the scale of the place. I love the romantic pose of the bride and groom which adds to the story.
The story of this photo is quite simple: on our first visit to this venue, we obviously noticed this dome structure and asked about its purpose. It was for the winter parties, and so, not to be used on our July wedding. But on the wedding day, we just couldn't resist this beautiful scenery! Love in the bubble, we called it at the time. Bride and groom loved the idea and so we went for it!
The bikes actually means lot to the couple. When he proposed to her, she got so excited that she just had to tell everyone. Naturally she didn’t want to walk all the way back from where he proposed, so they rented a tandem (2 seated) bike so that he can drive while she texted and called everyone! I thought we had to incorporate a bike into the session somehow, and the opportunity came about, I had to take advantage of it!
As a global destination wedding photographer this one was shot on the mountain at the top of Kicking Horse ski hill in British Columbia, The weather turned from bright and sunny day to a disasterous blizzard with drifting snow... after dinner, dancing and more than a fair share of Tequlia shots, I approached the Bride and Groom and asked them if they were up for just a FEW MORE photos. I told them that "you might get a little wet" or... this will be one of the best photos I'll ever take! I'm glad it was the latter. Interesting weather will always yeild interesting photos.
This wedding was a BLAST from the night before. It was barn wedding with non stop fun and this particular shot was taken with just available light.
