The Crawley Boathouse is probably Western Australia's most iconic location for wedding photos. Couples fly in from all over the world to have their photos taken at the "blue boathouse" The special thing with this image is that the beautiful soft light on the couple is due to a storm cloud that has just passed overhead and is directly behind me creating a natural softbox. On most days with blue skies you'd never see such a perfect balance of light in the middle of the day.
This wedding was on a windy day in autumn in Rotterdam The Netherlands. In the evening it starts to rain just a little bit. Me and the bride & groom went outside the party venue and we did not feel the rain. The skyline of Rotterdam and the lights are amazing and when I used the off camera flash you can actually see the rain around the bride en groom, that’s why I love this picture so much!
During their wedding, Delphine & Rémi wanted to take some group pictures, and some of their wildest guests decided to hold the bride in order to get a shot!
Samantha & Sebastien wanted to take pictures in the forest in their wedding clothes, so we decided to head to the pine trees and the flowers. They didn't hesitate to walk through high grass and broken branches to get this shot!
Fairbridge Village in Western Australia was a beautiful location for this Aussie bride & her Norwegian groom to tie the knot. On the grounds is the most gorgeous chapel set in the surrounds of rural bushland as well as picturesque open fields and even this fabulous red Dodge vintage ute. As we drove into the village earlier in the day and saw the ute, we definitely knew we were going to make use of it. Kiara & Age were such a sweet couple and they were surrounded by a global community of friends and family to celebrate with them. It was wonderful to be a small part of their special day!
I wanted to get a few sunset silhouettes of Andrea & Joe, but we were standing in the middle of a parking lot. I positioned them so you couldn't see the lot full of cars, and we ended up getting some magic in the process!
From the moment my stunning bride, Alana, walked through the door of Tappan Hill Mansion tethered to Winston, I knew her puppy was going to be integral to the wedding day.
I only learned later that, in January, the groom picked up the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from the breeder, put a card around his neck saying "Will you marry me?”, attached the ring, and headed to Alana’s to propose.
Sure enough, the fifteen-pound, dapper groomsmen figured in memorable photos all day — from getting ready through the ceremony. Alas, during the party, the tired puppy rested in the quiet bridal room.
So, by night’s end, when the band signaled the last dance, what a surprise to find Winston swaddled in the newlyweds' arms on the dance floor — unabashedly sharing so much affection!
And how beautifully fitting!
The couple met on rodeo. They love rodeo and horses, it was pre-wedding photoshoot. This photosession was fabulous! We ran horses for many times to get this photo. Being there was so important to them, it was amazing!
Lençóis Maranhenses is one of the hundred wonders of the world. We traveled for many hours on the plane, car and boat to get to the real paradise. And then we left behing and photographed the meeting of two souls and an absolutely amazing place
This photo was taken at the end of the session. It was January and begining to rain and the water was very cold! After enjoying the day, this was perhaps the most incredible moment between them. It was the last one photo of the session
This picture happens to be from the photoshoot of Preema and Clinton in Mangalore , Karnataka, India. We were at the fag end of the photoshoot and in the process of wrapping up. It was a spontaneous move, as there was no natural light at that hour. I ended us using the available light from headlights of a car. Preema and Clinton was fun to work with a memory that I will always cherish. A big shout out to them.
I saw the stunning sunset break through the clouds and scouted around the back of the venue to try and find a clearing to be able to get a portrait shot in the golden light. I stumbled across an amazing field and excitedly hurried back to see if the bride and groom (Natalie & Scott) would be up for crossing the muddy field with me. They were both totally on board, Natalie put on her 'wedding wellies' and we were off on an adventure hopping fences and puddles.... Legends.
