The bride grew up in this stunning garden; it’s a family owned property in Penticton, BC, Canada. The couple felt that a barefoot ceremony was fitting as the bride considers this place to be sacred ground. The bridesmaids and I made our way through hidden paths so we could prepare for the couple’s “first look” before the wedding. We joined the rest of the bridal party and led the groom to the spot where he would close his eyes and wait for his beloved to meet him. This photo shows the emotional bride taking her first few steps towards her groom for a quiet and intimate moment before the ceremony.

This was taken on our way back to the château from the church where they got married. I was in their old car and since they got married in the bride's natal town, she knews lots of people. We stopped on our way when her old neighbor wanted to say "Hi!

I'm so happy when the environment is amazing where my couples get married! Give me a forest and I'm the happiest girl on earth! We walked about 10mns one way to get to this place, but I knew the light would be amazing!

Sometimes, the venue and decor lend themselves to creating a beautiful shot. This time, just a touch of light, and a touch of dark, were all I needed to create this stunning and one-of-a-kind silhouette. One word for this kind of shot: fabulous.

This couple shared my dream to do an incredible Loveshoot at the Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland near Dornie. As specialized Wedding Photographer we only shoot weddings at old castles and mansions so we totally love this 13th century castle.
This photos was made nearly at midnight in June in the twilight. Luckily we were able to enter the property of the castle. We kept in contact with our cellphones and were able to position them perfect in the spotlight. This light was a true attraction for all the mosquitos in the neighborhood, the bride to be was covered with a grand total of 50 mosquito bites.

Michelle, a Paramedic, and Michael, a Marine, met 4 years ago in Cali where they immediately hit it off and quickly moved to New Orleans where Mike became an NOPD Officer and Michelle began her Master of Science in Neuroscience at Tulane University. They decided to make their wedding day something truly intimate, exchanging life long promises at the courthouse that over looked the Mighty Mississippi. I had the pleasure of photographing them around Stella Plantation later where they were beaming with that new love glow!

This photograph was taken in Mareeba, at a beautiful venue called Ringers Rest. We had some of the most beautiful light I’d seen all year and I was really excited by all the colours on show! The golden grass was perfectly set off by the dark, dramatic clouds. I visualised our couple walking through the landscape hand in hand, but wanted to shoot from up high. It was a pretty flat landscape, so after a bit of searching, I was lucky enough to find a big pile of earth handy to scramble up to frame them at a unique angle

This image was captured during the couples reception. I went outside to have a look around and saw the foggy night and the amazingly glowing lanterns hanging on the tree. I asked the couple if they would like to have a photo taken, but they would have to be quick and literally right now before the fog disappeared. They agreed and I added a flash light behind them to light up the couples moment in the fog. After a few minutes, the fog disappeared, glad we made the shot.

At the end of the weddingday the bride and groom had a surprise for their guests. They all went outside the weddingvenue and everyone got a wishingballoon.
The message was: Make a beautiful wish and let the balloon fly away. It was amazing!

This image was taken on the beautiful Northumberland coastline, right around the corner from Amanda & Phil's fantastic wedding venue of Newton Hall. I started out as a landscape photographer and when presented with stunning scenery like this I always like to shoot really wide and incorporate my couples into the landscape.

We had just arrived on location at the Zig Zag in the Perth Hills of Western Australia and the sun was near on setting. We had to do a little trekking to get to this particular spot and when the sun got into position I knew it was going to be a ripper sunset. This turned out to be the couple’s favourite image!
