This photo was shot in central Hong Kong. The intention of this photo was meant to tell the newly-weds that life as a journey, it has detours, turning up and down but it is important to take each step at a time. That’s the truth behind marriage and eventually, it will reach to the top, a better life. I hope their story of life will portray it to their ideal.
Tony & Vivian Both were the wonderful couple and gave me the creative freedom to do what I love most and passionate about without any limitations. I took the opportunity to capture their wedding shoot at a brand new beautiful Elizabeth Quay in Perth, Western Australia. Being a newly developed architectural piece of Perth City I had to take the opportunity to create a unique photo especially for them. This photo was taken on the bridge as the two bold steel arches meet in the middle. It was a lot of challenge as it was cold and windy. I shot them with two sets of Speedlight and had to capture them with limited time as the sunlight was diminishing. The outcome was straight out of the camera with some lightroom fine tuning and colour adjustments.
Thanks to Tony & Vivian for being such wonderful couple to work with. Everything was perfect! The lighting was where i needed them to be, the skies were fabulous, the accent colours lighting on the steel arches from the Elizabeth Quay bridge and i just couldn't be happier that this fantastic newly built location will be one of my favourite spots. Could not have done it without the trust of my clients to be able to all these creative shots.
Nabih & Reem are one of my favourite couples I've ever worked with, I felt their love in each image I took and had a great experience and time shooting them for three days before and during their big day. Had to create a magical scene shot for them in the sunset. The couple that I'll never forget.
This particular one was taken at 9 pm at Wadi rum. Back then I wasn't able to see the beautiful bride and groom since it was completely dark. Duration of this shot was a total of 15 minutes, and I must admit I couldn't have made it without their patience. we agreed to call this experience " A shoot through the darkness". Hats off to a very cool and loving couple who helped me make my first ever bridal shoot in wadi rum work!
The couple wanted to goes somewhere special for their couple shoot. We settled for this lake, which had a very "Canadian" feeling. It was summer and we played in the last rays of the sun, embracing the cold coming to us very softly. It was a magical summer.
We always like to start with just a touch of light. For this shot, we knew we had to go for something sublime to play off of the hair, bouquet, and gown. After we got our light just so, all we had to do was compose it. The end result is something we really treasure.
Months before this wedding, Jill (the bride) has told me that she wanted an amazing sparkler exit picture in memory of her big day. At the end of the night I had to gather up +50 guests "in the dark" to make this photo happen for her! The moment I saw Jill and Josh start running out with excitement...I only had one attempt at this and I knew that this was my chance to make her dream picture...and so THIS happened! Though I was beaten after an 11 hour day, I wouldn't miss a moment..especially for one like this!
Rebecca & Paul decided to have their photos taken in the morning before their ceremony at the Perth registrar's office. We went to Perth's gorgeous Kings Park and I captured this sweet moment as the sun filtered through the trees to bathe the couple in gorgeous rays of light. They were such joy to work with, bubbly, relaxed, excited and comfortable in each others presence.
Its not about the props or the pose... its always about the moment. One must learn to feel thought an event, not see through it... looking or pretty pictures.
This image was literally the last photo of the location shoot and taken on the hottest day in Darwin since 1944! Tropical Darwin indeed! We were at Mindl Beach, on top of a sand dune. I don't know what it is about the Top End of Australia, but everything just seems bigger! All I could see was a huge sun, big skies and the feeling of space, so in my mind, I could see a silhouette shot as the perfect close to their location shoot. We kept it really natural, and one thing you can't see in the photo but they were completely surrounded by dragonflies. It was magical!
Ebani and Dean were married at the University of Western Australia; one of the main reasons was because of this big tree! The Bridal Party braved spiders and other creepy crawlies, climbing across the garden to make this photo happen… and at one point, they thought they had lost me in the undergrowth!
